• Structural/Civil Field Sales Engineer – Lateral Systems (Dublin, CA)

    The Field Sales Engineer – Lateral Systems will establish and maintain relationships with design professionals, specifiers and major contractors to obtain the specification of our clients Lateral Systems including Strong Frame, Strong-Wall and Strong-Rod systems. This position is based in the Bay Area which will service Northern/Central California, Northern Nevada, and the rocky mountain region.



    • Provide technical support of Strong Frame, Strong-Wall and Strong Rod Systems to internal and external customers.
    • Conduct technical presentations for individuals, groups and professional associations involved in new construction and/or the upgrade of existing structures lateral force resisting systems, focusing on general technical knowledge as well as the advantages of specifying of our client’s products.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, engineering firms and contractors within the region.
    • Identify sales opportunities and work closely with the sales team to support closing of sales opportunities.
    • Work closely with coworkers in designing and specifying lateral systems for new and existing structures. Assist in development and review of technical literature. 




    • Licensed Professional Engineer (CA required and Nevada preferred)
    • B.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
    • 5 years experience in structural design experience including wood and steel structures and lateral force resisting systems.
    • 2 years computer experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ACAD, various design software).
    • Knowledge of common wood and steel construction methods. Familiarity with our client’s products is a plus.
    • Communicate verbally in an appropriate way for the audience he/she is speaking to. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and other groups.
    • Quickly and effectively solve customer problems and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships. Readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer needs. Recognize potentially adverse customer reactions and develop better alternatives.
    • Maintain a collaborative approach in dealing with employees. Demonstrate a genuine commitment to reach mutually beneficial solutions.
    • Possess and maintain a driving record which complies with company policy.
    • This job requires domestic travel, 10-25% of the time. 
    • Candidates must live in or around Dublin, CA.
    • Relocation will be considered for this position.
