• Infrastructure, Commercial & Industrial Field Engineer (Concord, CA)

    Establish and maintain relationships with design professionals, specifiers and major contractors to obtain the specification of our client’s anchoring systems, cold-formed steel commercial connectors and concrete repair, protection and strengthening products. The ICI Field Engineer will be based in the East Bay and service Northern/Central California and Northern Nevada.


    • Provide technical support of anchoring systems, cold-formed steel commercial connectors and concrete repair, protection and strengthening products to internal and external customers.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, engineering firms and contractors within the region.
    • Use product knowledge, experience and training to develop solutions for a wide variety of concrete applications to support jobsite driven needs.
    • Identify sales opportunities and work closely with the sales team to support closing of sales opportunities.
    • Work closely with engineers to identify new products and testing opportunities. Assist in development and review of technical literature. 
    • Identify and maintain DOT approvals for anchoring systems and concrete repair, protection and strengthening products. Assist in product approval review and submittals.


    • Licensed Professional Engineer (CA required and Nevada preferred)
    • B.S. degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
    • 5 years structural design experience including reinforced concrete structures.
    • 1 years design or repair experience in infrastructure, industrial and agricultural concrete structures is a plus.
    • 1 year computer experience (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, ACAD, various design software). 
    • Practical working knowledge of common concrete and steel construction methods. Familiarity with our client’s products is a plus.
    • Communicate verbally in an appropriate way for the audience he/she is speaking to. Ability to effectively present information to top management, customers, and other groups.
    • Quickly and effectively solve customer problems and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships. Readily readjust priorities to respond to pressing and changing customer needs. Recognize potentially adverse customer reactions and develop better alternatives.
    • Maintain a collaborative approach in dealing with other company employees. Demonstrate a genuine commitment to reach mutually beneficial solutions.
    • Possess and maintain a driving record which complies with company policy.
    • Travel away from home with occasional overnight stays.
    • Ability to travel domestically between 35-50% of the time. 
    • Must be pass background check and drug test.
    • Must reside in or near Concord, CA.
    • Relocation will be considered for this position.
