    Responsibilities: 

    • Provides reports, product information, and meet with both architects and contractors to help specify products that we support. 
    • Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, drawings, specifications, and related documents. 
    • Gathers details and compiles data to estimate all production costs according to specifications. 
    • Considers raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, labor and transportation for estimations. 
    • Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints. 
    • Able to interpret and verify project specifications to ensure accuracy. 
    • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the construction industry. 
    • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. 
    • Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements. 
    • Maintains a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.

    • Experience updating costing template based on new systems, updated vender pricing, tax rates, labor rates based on new contracts, project manager feedback, & ownerships groups requests. 
    • Assists the Project Managers with any issues or changes to scope that may arise in completing the project.
    • Performs a variety of tasks. 
    • Works under general supervision. 
    • A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.

    Requirements 

    • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or 5 plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide technical support of Strong Frame, Strong-Wall and Strong Rod Systems to internal and external customers.
    • Conduct technical presentations for individuals, groups and professional associations involved in new construction and/or the upgrade of existing structures lateral force resisting systems, focusing on general technical knowledge as well as the advantages of specifying of our client’s products.

  • Project Accountant (Seattle, WA)

     

    The Project Accountant is the lead accountant assigned to a specific job site and/or multiple projects. In this role the Project Accountant is charged with handling most day to day accounting related responsibilities and activities associated with the project. The Project Accountant may be assigned to the main office and/or jobsite. 

     

    Responsibility:

    • Functional expert in the areas of accounts payable, subcontracts payable, check runs, entering estimates, job cost, processing 
    • owner change orders and owner billings.

    • Accounts payable duties include but may not be limited to: 
    1. Prepare AP vouchers and supporting documentation for review, approval and system entry. - Scan invoices into Invoice Router, attach any backup.Route invoices for approvals.
    2. After approvals are received, import invoices into Timberline. 
    3. Process weekly check run.
    4. Field vendor inquiries.
    5. Research various problem invoices. - Processing AP transfers. 

     

    • Subcontract payable duties include but may not be limited to: 
    1. Performing committed cost maintenance. 
    2. Ensure documentation is properly assembled; approvals, cost codes are properly gathered and checked. 
    3. Ensure subcontract payable vouchers and supporting documentation [lien waivers, sub-tier waivers, joint checks as applicable, contract and change orders executed, etc.] are properly gathered, reviewed and assembled.

     

    • Check run duties include but may not be limited to: 
    1. Posting payables and management of check runs including coordinating with other accounting department team members and Controller for final review, approval and check signature.

    • Owner Change Order duties include but may not be limited to:
    1. Assisting project manager with estimate changes required by owner change orders.
    2. Updating subcontract commitments with subcontract change orders included in owner change order. 
    3. Balancing job estimate in Timberline with the final contract value.

     

    • Owner Billing duties include but may not be limited to:
    1. Preparing owner billing based on contract requirements.
    2. Working with Project Manager on job specific billing requirements.
    3. Represent our client with Project Team at monthly Owner pay request meetings as required. - Posting billings in AR and Contracts.

     

     

    Other duties 

    • Ensure monthly closing deadlines are met.

    Ideal candidates will have 

    • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field plus five years accounting experience in the construction industry or similar environment, or equivalent combination.
